Did you know the Gualala River Watershed Council is the only organization implementing major restoration and research projects within the watershed?

bullet We have prevented more than 15,000 dump truck loads of sediment from polluting the river by working with landowners to restore their roads.
bullet We have installed 70 stream temperature monitoring station throughout the watershed
bullet We annually survey fish populations, fish habitat, streambed elevations, and riparian composition within the watershed.
bullet We have recently completed the first scientific study of the Gualala River Estuary.
